Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is assigned 7 cards face up and the house is dealt seven cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
