No-Limit Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?
Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker contender on the planet by quite a few of the top-ranked professionals. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning 1. His grandpa taught him one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was hooked on poker and wished to discover anything he could about poker. He routinely told his grandparents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not permit the detrimental feedback from others kill his goal of being one of the greatest poker players on the planet.
Phil began competing seriously after getting a false ID with the name of Jerome. He practiced his abilities at the casinos in Atlantic City. The initial number of years for him were a teaching opportunity and coming away with a win wasn’t a regular thing at the time. Phil became known at the 2000 World Series of Poker where he made two final tables and came away with his 1st WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha game. At the last table he destroyed quite a few of the well known pros including but not limited to "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil made a decision to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Las Vegas. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players on the planet. Phil credits his achievements to discipline and an immeasurable passion for poker. He states that he’s learning every day and is incredibly humble about his success. Phil knows he makes blunders every single game of poker and constantly aspires to improve.
Despite the fact that Ivey has come first in some big tournaments, he likes winning cash games on a normal basis.
