Online Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen enjoyed a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to make it to the last game in 3 of the competitions. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might recall one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. He won a massive pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the strongest gamblers around the world. While gambling on internet poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. Gus often competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy-in of $40, 000. Gus generally buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all in. I believe Hansen is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is penniless, he has little or no reason to play at the table with the minimum buy in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Hansen is assumed to be one of the best players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy in for the full dollar value. I think tv can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world might just be guys you have never heard of before. Gus can be found gambling on internet poker on Full Tilt. He usually participates in high stakes Omaha and texas hold’em. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his skills in cash games?
